Poly-Metallic Nodules form on the ocean floor
at great depths.
They condense out of the hot water that spews from undersea vents called Black Smokers. Almost all these nodules are high in manganese and iron. There are only a few places on earth where these nodules are found above ground. All of these four sites are ancient Black Smokers that for some reason have been thrust up from the abysmal depths. All most all the nodules from our source site contain: manganese, iron, nickel, copper, silver, gold and some even have the Platinum/Palladium group of metals in them. They are VERY HEAVY for their size and make awesome, unique paperweights and show pieces. They are very valuable as scientific specimens because mining the ocean floor is the mining venture of the future. No self respecting geologist or oceanographer should be without one.
